TOWN OF ROME: Lake Sherwood Nutrient Budget & Water Quality Conditions

Purpose

The Town of Rome proposes to complete tasks begun under LPLs 638 and 640, studying stage elevations and flow velocities, sampling water quality, and estimating loadings in Lakes Camelot and Sherwood of the Adams County Tri-Lakes. Major project elements to include: 1) Flow monitoring to establish hydrological budget, 2) and water sampling to assess nutrient loading. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided both written and electronic copies of the reports generated. Results of the studies will be disseminated to the public through newsletters, fact sheets, public meetings, local newspaper articles and broad public distribution of the Comprehensive Management Plan.
