LAKE MASON IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Lake Mason Watershed Management - Phase 2

Purpose

Continue the planning assistance to watershed owners to implement conservation plans of Phase II and recommendations of Phase I planning with emphasis in meandered stream restoration. Continue to address reduction of nutrients entering Lake Mason throughplanning assistance for the creation of a shoreline buffer zone and the restoration of Big Spring Millpond in the watershed as described in the application. The grantee will disseminate information to the public by newsletter mailings, entire reportmailings, public meetings, summary report mailings and local newspaper articles. Project results will be reposited by the Town of New Haven Town Hall and the Town of Douglas Town Hall.
