BIG BUTTERNUT LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Big Butternut Lake Water Quality Studies & Mgmt Strategies

Purpose

The Big Butternut Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to conduct the following lake management activities on Big Butternut Lake: 1) Establish watershed delineation, 2) Create maps showing the GIS database and land use for the watershed. 3) Collect in-lake water quality and flow data and establish phosphorus and hydrologic budgets, 4) Identify BMP's and potential remediation measures for water quality in Big Butternut Lake, and 5) Identify the specific watershed sensitive areas.
