TOWN OF HANCOCK: Hancock Lake Eurasian Watermilfoil Control Project
Return to Search
Purpose
The Town of Hancock proposes to conduct a large-scale Eurasian Watermilfoil Control project on 48.9 acres of affected area. Granular 2-4 D chemical will be applied directly on the plant beds using a motorized blower/spreader. On dense milfoil beds totaling 18.7 acres 2-4-D will be applied at high labelled rates or 150 pounds per surface, because milfoil plants in Hancock Lake are mature, dense and support thick robust stems. GPS will be sued for application accuracy. See application for further details. A final written report will be submitted to the department detailing their accomplishments.
