TOWN OF PELICAN: Town of Pelican - Water Quality and Land Use Plan

Purpose

This project will provide town representatives with a Land Use and Water Quality Management Plan to guide them in future decision making. The intent is to have a plan that is adopted by the Town Board to become an official policy document. A Land-Use and Water Qualtiy Management Plan Resource Document and Poster Plan. Maps will also be developed. The following information will be included in the documents: existing land-use, future land-use and proposed land-use type descriptions, vision statement, goals and objectives, demographic data and other related sociological information, summary information includeing existing zoning and environmentally sensitive areas, implementation strategies including water quality mandagement components, planning conditions and considerations and policies/plans/ordinances reiviews. Other informatin to be included is refrenced in the grant application. The plan report and supporting documentation will be distributed to Town and County decision makers, will be available to the public throught meetings, poster and map displays and local press releases/articles. The material will also be available at the Town Hall, Oneida County Planning and Zoning Office, the NCWRPC, and the local library. The Department will also be provided with a final report, and electronic copy and an executive summary.
