Upper Nemahbin Lake Management District has been conducting a watershed inventory and water quality investigationon on Upper Nemahbin Lake . The lake district is interested in investigating the feasability of doing some wetland restoration work around a downstream reach of the Bark River, which empties into Upper Nemahbin lake. The project elements include the following: 1) Review and compilation of current watershed inventory data; 2) inventory of wetland plants; 3) mapping of land ownership; 4) formulation of a river and wetland management policy and concept plan; 5) conduct of a public information program; and 6) implementation of the shoreland wetland management policy.
The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
