MUSKELLUNGE LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC.: Muskellunge Lake Water Quality Assessment, Phase 2

Purpose

The MLA proposes to assess hydrology, water quality, and nutrient loading to Muskellunge Lake. Phase II will include the application and calibration of the GFLOW groundwater model; computation of water and phosphorus budgets; preparation of an interpretive report for the lake association; and publication and distribution of a final report. Results of this study will also be used to further refine the watershed analysis portion of another planing grant project being conducted on a downstream lake, Little St. Germain. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
