TOWN OF LA FOLLETTE: Town of LaFollette Land Use Plan

Purpose

The Town of LaFollette will conduct a land use planning project addressing resource protection for all lakes, streams, shorelands, wetlands, watersheds and other lands in the Township of LaFollette in Burnett County. Project activities include a community survey, conducting I & E and listening public meetings, developing goals and policies for long-range land use and shorelands protection planning, inventory and analysis of the town's water, land, natural and cultural resources, identification of implementation and protection tools, review of the county's shoreline development recommendations for applicability, and development of short and long-range land use and planning recommendations. Specific deliverables for this grant project include: ? Copies of meetings notes, I & E materials, survey results, and newspaper notices. ? Copies of all resource maps developed during project ? A copy of the final report for this project, including the town land use plan The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
