MONTELLO LAKE P&R DISTRICT: Montello Lake Nutrient Budgeting Study

Purpose

The Montello Lake Protection & Rehab District proposes to conduct a limited phosphorus budget that will address external nutrient inputs, phosphorus recycling significance, and provide a basis for the selection of the most cost-effective management options that target the identified problem areas. Project deliverables include bi-weekly sampling from the Montello River, empirical modelling to develop the phosphorus budget and a final report. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
