BLACK OTTER LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Black Otter Lake Comprehensive Management Plan

Purpose

Black Otter Lake District proposes to conduct a study on Black Otter Lake that will lead to the development of an up-to-date comprehensive lake management plan. The study will consist of a review of past management efforts, identify and prioritize present management needs, establish definable goals, and recommend and design strategies for lake improvement. Specifically, the project will study the lake ecology, physical and chemical characteristics of the lake and tributaries, and determine watershed influences. A final report with survey results and recommendations will be provided to the Department of Natural Resources in both a paper copy and an electronic copy. Information will be disseminated to the public via informational meetings and newsletter mailings.
