The Town of Newton proposes to conduct a wetland revegetation project in a detention basin along English Lake. Project deliverables include planting aquatic vegetation to establish desirable species, increase the diversity of species and accelerate aquatic vegetation colonization; establish fencing around and over the top of the planted materal for goose protection; public education and involvement. See application project description for more details. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
