SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHELPS: North & South Twin Lakes: Foiled by Milfoil Action Alert

Purpose

This Project is sponsored by the School District of Phelps and is in partnership with the North & South Twin Lake Riparian Association. This project will provide for student and community education on aquatic exotics, specifically Eurasian Watermilfoil, and lake management. Project Deliverables & Requirements include: 1. Educational items developed and created by the students at Phelps School (laminated plants, Plant ID posters, displays, etc.). 2. Multimedia presentation and maps of the locations where EWM was found on the lakes. The grantee will provide the Department copies maps, data and/or reports created as a part of this project. In addition an executive summary of the work completed under this grant, copies of newsletter articles, newspaper articles and documentation of any other presentations or events attended. For events that students will be attending a brief summary of what each student did and who the audience was will be provided to the Department prior to final payment.
