LAKE JULIA ASSOCIATION: Aquatic Plant Community Characterization & Management Plan

Purpose

The Lake Julia Lake Association will sponsor a project to complete an aquatic plant survey and protection plan. The project will result in the expansion of a GIS database for Lake Julia, a map of the aquatic plants, a written report of the findings and discussion of the management strategies to sustain the ecosystem, voucher specimens will be created, reviewed by DNR staff and housed at Nicolet College, a photo archive of plants will be kept, and a review of the education values of the project will be included. All final products will be provided to the Department in electronic (pdf) and hard copy format. ***Please note that approval of the final report for final payment by the Lake Grant Program does not indicate Department approval of recommendations or strategies within the report.
