LOWER LONG LAKE PROT & REHAB DIST: Long Lake Trail Map/Brochure

Purpose

This project is based on the DNR Sensitive Area Study. Selected areas impact the ecosystem of Long Lake and have potential for educational purposes. The sensitive areas are fragile sites that need protection to insure water quality and protection for fish and wildlife habitat. It is important for property owners and others to understand and appreciate the sensitive area designations and implications for LLPRD management decisions. The goal is to produce a Long Lake Water Trail Map/Brochure based on the DNR Study. A comprehensive guide would be useful for learning about the sensitive areas. Objectives also include understanding recommendations for practices in the designated areas. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
