This summary covers the period October 1991 to September 1996, which is the period of water-quality monitoring of Little Arbor Vitae Lake by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Emphasis in this summary is on data collected during 1996. All data collected during 1996 is included. Data from previous years is included in graphs to illustrate changes or trends.

Water quality monitoring by the U. S. Geological Survey for 1991 through 1996. Project will update information from study completed in 1976. Sampling parameters are as shown in table 1 of the application. An annual progress report will be submittedafter each year of monitoring. Project includes formal presentation to the public and preparation od a final report in 1996. Datat reporting format to be worked out in consultation with Bob Young, DNR District contact. Information will disseminated tothe public by public meetings and entire report mailings. Project report will be reposited at Arbor Vitae Town Hall.
