The Lake Altoona Protection and Rehabilitation District (LAD) received three Lake Management Planning Grants from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources IWDNR) to assist in the planning and design of a sediment dredgng project. The grants were obtained for the following components of the project: 1. LPL-297 Delta Dredging 2. LPL-298 Dewatering Basin 3. LPL-299 Sediment Trap

1) Finalize design of dewatering basin. 2) Complete Environmental Assessment. 3) Complete WPDES permit applications. 4) Aquire other necessary approvals for the project. 5) Prepare a final report which will include tasks 1 - 4 listed above.6) The grantee will disseminate information to the public by newsletter mailings, public meetings, summary report mailings, a comprehensive management plan, and radio and/or TV spots. The grantee will provide the Department of Natural Resources with apaper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Project results will be reposited at the Eau Claire County Land Conservation Department, 227 First St. W, Altoon, WI.
