The Lake Minnesuing Sanitary District proposes to develop a comprehensive physical, chemical, and biological database for the lake. Project activities will include in-lake water quality monitoring, conducting a phytoplankton survey, a macrophyte vegetation survey, a periphyton survey, a bacteria survey, a conductivity profile study, and a sediment characterization study. The database will be used to identify possible anthropogenic factors that may be contributing to decling water quality. The data will also be evaluated to explore lake management alternatives. A final report of the project results will be prepared. The sponsor will also provide the Department of Natural Resources with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.
