LITTLE GREEN LAKE PROTECTION & REHAB. DIST.: Little Green Lake Management Planning

Purpose

The Little Green Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to develop a lake management plan for Little Green Lake. Project activities include 1) conduct a needs analysis of the lake's problems through a lake residents' opinion survey, augmented by interviews, focus groups, public meetings with lake residents, local business people, and fishing club members, 2) prioritize identified problems, and 3) analyze alternative solutions to prioritized problems. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the lake management plan. The project results will be disseminated to the general public by news letter, fact sheets distributed, public meetings, local newspaper article and a comprehensive Management Plan will be also available at Caesticker Public Library, Green Lake & Markesan Public Libraries and Markesan City Hall.
