Purpose

Pike Lake will be studied by in a cooperative way by USGS and SEWRPC for the Pike Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District . The study will inclde; in lake water quality monitoring over a period of two years, evaluation of hydrological regime and pollutant loading potential of streams draining to Pike Lake, evaluation of current measures used to limit phosphorus loading to Pike Lake, public information, update comprehensive lake management plan for Pike Lake. This is part 1 of a two part phase 2 study program. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
