Purpose

The Golden Sands RC@D will conduct water quality monitoring of the Plover River in Marathon and Portage Counties. Activities involved with this project will include collection of water quality samples at 18 locations along the river, installation and collection of data from 7 water temperature monitors. Data collected will be used to identify problem areas and will also be used in the development of a long term management plan for the river. Specific deliverables for this grant project will include: a final report in the form of a management plan, water quality monitoring data from the Environmental Task Foce Laboratory The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.
