The Solberg Lake Association initiated a project to complete a macrophyte survey and a macrophyte management plan to identify effective macrophyte management activities that concurrently consider the wishes of residents and the integrity of Solberg Lake (i.e., macrophyte community, fisheries community, waterfowl and wildlife communities, and lakeshore protection).

The Solberg Lake Association will conduct a two phase aquatic plant management project. This grant will fund phase I which will include a aquatic plant survey, a membership survey, and portions of the project data summaries including tables and maps. The aquatic plant survey will characterize existing aquatic plant conditions in the lake. The membership study will be used to determine lake usage and plant management prefrences. Specific deliverables for this grant include: a summary of work completed including the membership survey and aquatic plant survey, (a final report will be submitted with phase II of the project).
