LONG LAKE DISTRICT: Long Lake Comprehensive Study Phase I

Purpose

The Long Lake District proposes to conduct a comprehensive lake study to evaluate the chemical, biological and physical factors affecting Long Lake and their relationship to nuisance Aphanothece growth. Project deliverables include inlake water testing; groundwater testing; groundwater flow monitoring; lake mapping and plant surveys. See consultant's proposal in the application for more detail. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
