TOWN OF WEBB LAKE: Webb Lake - Eurasian Milfoil Boater Education Project

Purpose

The Town of Webb Lake will implement a plan to prevent any new Invasive Nuisance Species (INS) occurrence in Webb Lake and conduct a boater education program advising of the measures to prevent exotic species introductions in our area lakes. Activities planned for this project include; periodic volunteer boat inspections at the Webb Lake boat landings during 2005, installation of INS prevention signs at the Webb Lake landings, and the distribution of INS informational "flyers" to lake property owners. Specific deliverables for this grant project include: A Project Summary Report including all project activities and results The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meetings, and local newspaper articles.
