Watershed management plan

The Minocqua-Kawaguesaga Lakes Protection Association, Inc. will sponsor a project to develop a lake/watershed and water quality management master plan that protects and preserves the natural beauty and resources of the area. The project primary goal is to improve the lake watershed area water quality in Minocqua and Kawaguesaga lakes through data collection, field reconnaissance inventory, testing, modeling, and analysis of hydraulic, hydrologic water quality and biological data. This plan will lay out future recommended water resource best management practices (BMP), land use and BMP implementation projects to accommodate the growing population while maintaining and protecting the natural resource waters of Minocqua and Kawaguesaga Lakes. Through studies and analysis of water quality/quantity data and modeling, identification of lake/watershed best management practices and development of appropriate comprehensive ordinances.
