ROUND TRADE LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Lake Protection Plan for Round Lake

Purpose

The Round-Trade Lake Improvement Association will conduct a comprehensive lake management planning project involving a study and evaluation of Round Lake (T37,R18W,S27) in Burnett County. Project activities include; a review of current lake management plans and programs, conducting a lake use survey, conducting a watershed land use data review and modeling exercise, conducting a multi-parameter "self-help" lake water quality monitoring survey, conducting an aquatic plant survey, conducting an evaluation of all past and current lake management information and developing a lake protection plan, a plant management plan and recommendations for future lake management activities. Specific deliverables for this grant project include: A comprehensive final project report, including the project results and the following components; (1). An aquatic plant management plan, (2). A lake protection plan, and (3). A listing of all project activities, results, and recommendations. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
