CITY OF PORTAGE: Silver Lake Aquatic Plant Survey

Purpose

This grant is to collects plant data with a point intercept lake survey. Sediment data will be collected at each point, and voucher specimens collected and pressed. A riparian land use survey will also be done. The survey will follow recommendations made in the DNR Guidance. Deliverables: See the grant application, ranking questions and DNR APM planning guidance document. Point intercept sample points will be obtained by calling Jennifer Hauxwell at DNR. Herbarium samples will be distributed to the City of Portage, Southcentral Region DNR office, and the University of Wisconsin Herbarium, c/o Ted Cochrane.
