Purpose

The North Lake Management District will undertake a monitoring study which will assist them in determining the extent of blue green algae in the North Lake inlet. Six sets of samples will be taken. Two paper copies and one electronic copy of the report will be provided to the department. The report will contain the following elements: " Results of the sample analysis, including species analysis, counts of blue green algae cells, chlorophyll a results and toxin analysis. " A table displaying GPS position, water and air temperature, current wind conditions and weather in the previous 48 hours for each of the six samples. " A list of all species of blue green algae found.
