OZAUKEE COUNTY: Habitat & Impediment Inventory

Purpose

The Ozaukee County Planning and Parks Department will undertake the following activities relating to stream impediment removal under the Lake Michigan Tributary Habitat and Impediment Inventory Project: - Inventory aquatic life passage impediments on 10 streams. - Assess riparian and in-stream habitat on 10 project streams. - Compile and add GIS data on identified impediments within the 10 streams onto the County GIS mapping database. - Produce a prioritized aquatic life passage impediment list for removal or remediation, with cost estimates for the 10 streams. - Provide DNR two copies of: the final prioritized impediment list, a summary of the in-stream/riparian habitat data and scores, summaries of Tier 1 and Tier 2 assessments where performed, and the GIS impediment project geo-database. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee\2019s final payment request.
