Although the impetus for this planning project arose from the proposed listing of North Pipe Lake for Wisconsin’s Impaired Waters List, the timing of the grant proposal correlated exactly with the timeframe during which a comprehensive lake management plan should be updated for Pipe and North Pipe Lakes. The activities completed through the grant were in-lake data collection, a lake resident survey, watershed delineation and modeling, outreach, and a sediment core collection.

The Pipe and North Pipe Lakes P&R District is sponsoring a project to develop a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan for Pipe and North Pipe Lakes. The final deliverables include all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.
