PICKEREL CHAIN LAKES ASSOCIATION: Pickerel Chain Mngt Plan-Smoke & Little Pickerel

Purpose

The Pickerel Chain Lake Association proposes to complete a Comprehensive Management Plan on Smoke and Little Pickerel Lakes during the period 2015-2017. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Pickerel Chain Lake Association\2019s Lake Protection Grant application, dated December 9, 2014. The deliverables of the grant project will include all elements listed under NR 198.43 (1) The grant also includes conducting Point Intercept surveys using the DNR Aquatic Plant Treatment Evaluation Protocol http://www4.uwsp.edu/cnr/uwexlakes/ecology/APM/Appendix-D.pdf , in addition to lake bathymetry mapping. If consultant is to provide the final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR will be provided both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to, submission of grantee\2019s final payment request. A draft for the comprehensive management plan of the Pickerel Chain of Lakes in Oconto County. The Pickerel Chain of Lakes includes: Pickerel Lake, Little Pickerel Lake, and Smoke Lake. These lakes feed into Pickerel Creek, this creek eventually meets up with the North Branch of the Oconto River.
Appendix for the Pickerel Chain of Lakes Management Project Kick-off Meeting. Many of the documents included appear to slides from a presentation given at the kick-off meeting.
