Purpose

Little St Germain Lake P&R District is sponsoring an AIS ACEI grant on Little St Germain Lake, in Vilas County. This project will focus on AIS management and completing an updated management plan. Project activities include: 1) Herbicide treatments of CLP and EWM; 2) Pre/post treatment monitoring and analysis; 3) Herbicide concentration monitoring; 4) Point-intercept (PI) aquatic plant survey, acoustic survey and aquatic plant community mapping; 5) Stakeholder participation \2013 planning meetings and survey; 6) Shoreline and woody habitat assessment; 7) Develop treatment report and an updated management plan. Project deliverables include: 1) Chemical control of CLP and EWM; 2) re/post treatment, herbicide monitoring, acoustic survey, shoreland survey, woody habitat survey, and PI survey data; 3) Treatment report and updated management plan. Specific Conditions for this project: 1) Treatment report and draft Management Plan needs Dept review and approval; 2) Stakeholder survey needs Dept review and approval; 3) Aquatic plant vouchers need to be submitted to taxonomist for verification WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of treatment report, management plan, all maps, and survey data.
