DOOR COUNTY: Stony Creek/Dale Uecker Farm

Purpose
To cost-share installation of appropriate barnyard and manure storage practices on the Dale Uecker farm to protect against ground water contamination and to address direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure, as well as unlimited livestock access, into waters of the state.
Objective
Address issues of the Notice of Noncompliance ch. NR 151 Performance Prohibitiions and Standards for: 1. Clean water diiversions in a WQMA 2. No direct runoff from feedlot or stored manure into waters of the State 3. No unlimited access of livestock to the waters of the State
Outcome
Long-term manure storage and barnyard collection systems were installed. The property will now be managed under a Nutirent Management Plan.
