Purpose

The goal of the Dell Creek Priority Watershed Project is to protect, enhance and restore the surface and groundwater in the watershed area.

Outcome

Reduce sediment delivered to streams and lakes from agricultural uplands by at least 3,500 tons/year, urban areas by at least 100 tons/year, construction sites by at least 1260 tons/year. Reduce phosphorus runoff from barnyards in the watershed by at least 2,864 pounds/year and 25% reduction in phosphorus delivered to streams and lakes in the watershed due to soil erosion from agricultural uplands.
