The Plum and Kankapot Watershed is a subwatershed of the Lower Fox River Watershed and is located in east central Wisconsin in Brown, Outagamie, and Calumet Counties. The Plum and Kankapot Creeks empty into the Lower Fox River draining approximately 38,712 acres. Excessive sediment loads and increased algal blooms in the Lower Fox River and Bay of Green Bay prompted the need for action to be taken in the Lower Fox River Basin. A Total Maximum Daily Load was approved for the Lower Fox River and its tributaries in 2012. The Lower Fox River TMDL plan characterized the Plum and Kankapot Creek watershed as one of the highest contributors of sediment and phosphorus in the Lower Fox River Basin. https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/nonpoint/documents/9kep/Plum_Kankapot_Creeks-Plan.pdf
