CHIPPEWA COUNTY LAND CONSERVATION DEPT: Sand Creek - NR151 Implementation

Purpose

To cost-share landowner installation of appropriate best management practices to remedy the violations of the NR 151 agricultural prohibitions cited in the Notice of Intent to Issue a Notice of Discharge, dated April 11, 2006.

Objective

1. Acheive a soil erosion reate equal to, or less than, the tolerable rate established for that soi. 2. Runoff to be directed away from contacting feedlots, manure storage areas, and barnyard areas within the Water Quality Management Areas (WQMAs).
