ADAMS COUNTY: Adams AIS Specialist

Purpose
Adams County proposes to fund a full-time Aquatic Invasive Species Specialist position within its Land and Water Conservation Dept. for the purpose of providing educational and technical assistance to the public and lake organizations seeking to prevent and control AIS infestations in Adams County Lakes. Major project elements to include: 1) Establishment of Clean Boats, Clean Waters program on 22 lakes, 2) Establishment of AIS monitoring program for 22 lakes, 3) Providing assistance in implementation of AIS education and control elements of individual lake management plans.
