Purpose

Purpose: Eau Claire County is sponsoring a Lake Management Planning project to conduct a sediment source inventory for the Eau Claire River system. Project activities include: establish replicable survey transects at sediment traps, document and prioritize active erosion sites, establish and document phosphorus and sediment transport with the Eau Claire River system Project deliverables: documentation of: remaining sediment capacity in existing sediment traps, recession rates on bank erosion sites, critical/active erosion sites for future projects, real-time flow data in the Eau Claire River, loading calculations for delivery of phosphorus and suspended solids, sediment trap retention volume calculations, community presentations. Special conditions: WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of all data and maps from the project.
