Burnett County in partnership with Big Doctor Lake Association, Village of Siren, and DNR is sponsoring a project to better understand nutrient and habitat conditions and stakeholder interests in Big Doctor Lake and its watershed. Activities include water quality, shoreland/habitat, and watershed monitoring/modeling, piloting/evaluating nutrient reduction methods, assessing stakeholders, and developing a comprehensive management plan, including options for the Village wastewater treatment plan to reduce its load to the lake.
