Forest County is sponsoring a LPL grant to study Little Rice Lake, in Forest County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP). Project activities include: 1) Citizen participation \2013 stakeholder survey and planning meetings (4); 2) Water quality sampling and analysis; 3) Watershed assessment; 4) Shoreland and Coarse Woody Habitat assessment; 5) Collect and synthesize existing lake data; 6) Aquatic plant surveys (PI survey, community mapping and substrate mapping); 7) Data analysis; 8) Develop LMP.
