AIS Snapshot Day 2017

Purpose

The River Alliance and University of Wisconsin - Extension Lakes are hosting the first lake and stream snapshot day. This is the 4th bridge snapshot and first lake snapshot day. This event organizes citizen scientists around the state to monitor priority bridge crossings and boat landing for AIS of concern on a given day in August. Envision volunteers convening at rendezvous sites around the state hosted by local partners, grabbing monitoring supplies, visiting nearby stream crossing and reconvening (with useful data in their pocket) for an event with fun prizes and delicious treats.
