The Pike Lake Sportsman\2019s Club is sponsoring a small scale lake planning grant to purchase a dissolved oxygen meter (YSI ProODO and kit). The meter will be used to monitor oxygen levels and temperature throughout the lake during the winter in order to determine whether their aerator system is working properly. In addition oxygen and temperature will be measured during the summer to determine if there are \201Cdead zones\201D within the lake caused by aquatic plants. This information will help determine the appropriate aeration system design and aquatic plant harvesting locations. Data, records, and reports must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator.
