OUTAGAMIE COUNTY: Apple Creek Watershed Large-scale TRM

Purpose

The grantee will implement practices to address agricultural nonpoint sources of pollution through the installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) addressing sediment and nutrient loading and violations of the NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions. Specifically, the grantee will implement: Grade Stabilization; Heavy Use Area Protection; Livestock Fencing; Livestock Watering Facilities; Milking Center Waste Control Systems; Animal Trails and Walkways; Prescribed Grazing; Residue Management; Riparian Buffers; Roof Runoff Systems; Roofs; Sediment Basins; Strip-Cropping; Barnyard Runoff Control Systems; Subsurface Drains; Underground Outlets; Waste Transfer Systems; Wastewater Treatment Strips; Water and Sediment Control Basins; Waterway Systems; Stream Crossing (incl. associated fencing); Streambank/Shoreline Fencing; Streambank/Shoreline Rip-rapping (incl. associated fencing); Streambank/Shoreline Shaping & Seeding (incl. assoc fencing); Cover and Green Manure Crop; Critical Area Stabilization; Diversions; Filter Strips & Feed Storage Leachate.
