Purpose
The Boulder Lake Private Homes Association, Inc. proposes to control Eurasian Watermilfoil in Boulder Lake by implementing surveying and control measures during the period 2017-2020. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Boulder Lake Private Homes Association\2019s Aquatic Invasive Species Emergency Response Grant application, dated January 30, 2018.
The project includes conducting two early season Aquatic Invasive Species surveys (AIS) and two late season Eurasian Watermifoil peak biomass surveys. The surveys will be performed using the DNR Aquatic Plant Treatment Evaluation Protocol http://www4.uwsp.edu/cnr/uwexlakes/ecology/APM/Appendix-D.pdf. Additionally, Eurasian Watermilfoil will be controlled using professional hand harvesting services. Annual progress reports and a final report summarizing the 3-year project will be provided to DNR. Any publications produced as part of the project will incorporate the \201CStop Aquatic Hitchhikers!\201D\2122 brand (partnership details can be found at: http://www.protectyourwaters.org).
If consultant is to provide the final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Water Resource Management Specialist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR will be provided both paper and electronic. pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to, submission of grantee\2019s final payment request.
