Purpose
Anderson Lake Association proposes to control Eurasian Watermilfoil in Anderson Lake by implementing surveying and control measures during the period 2017-2020. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Anderson Lake Association\2019s Aquatic Invasive Species Emergency Response Grant application, dated February 8, 2018.
The project includes conducting one early season Aquatic Invasive Species surveys (AIS), three peak-biomass late summer surveys, and one point intercept survey, using the DNR Aquatic Plant Treatment Evaluation Protocol http://www4.uwsp.edu/cnr/uwexlakes/ecology/APM/Appendix-D.pdf. Additionally, Eurasian Watermilfoil will be controlled using DASH (diver assisted suction harvesting) and/or hand pulling. Annual progress reports and a final report summarizing the 3-year project will be provided to DNR. Any publications produced as part of the project will incorporate the \201CStop Aquatic Hitchhikers!\201D\2122 brand (partnership details can be found at: http://www.protectyourwaters.org).
If consultant is to provide the final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide the DNR Water Resource Management Specialist with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR will be provided both paper and electronic. pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to, submission of grantee\2019s final payment request.
