Lake Ellwood Association is sponsoring a LPL grant to study Lake Ellwood, in Florence County. The project will focus on updating a Lake Management Plan (LMP). Project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation \2013 stakeholder survey (analysis), planning meetings (up to 2), and wrap-up meeting; 2) Water quality sampling and analysis; 3) Watershed assessment and P load modeling; 4) Fisheries, Shoreline, and Coarse Woody Habitat assessment; 5) Aquatic plant surveys (PI survey, community mapping, acoustic, and substrate mapping); 6) Early and Late-season AIS surveys and EWM peak biomass survey; 7) Professional Dreissena monitoring; 8) Data analysis; 9) Develop annual AIS report and LMP.
