The Lake Association of Oneida Lake, Inc is sponsoring a Lake Planning grant to study Oneida Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP). Project activities include: 1) Gather and assess existing lake info; 2) Volunteer frog and toad monitoring and angler\2019s journal program; 3) PI aquatic plant survey, community and substrate mapping and analysis; 4) Watershed assessment, riparian habitat assessment and water quality assessment; 5) Rare species assessment and fisheries assessment; 6) AIS monitoring and wild rice mapping; 7) Educational program \2013 lake user survey, meetings, newsletter articles, \201Cfloating\201D workshop, and press releases; 8) Develop LMP.
