TOWN OF PLUM LAKE: Lake Monitoring on Waters Within the Town of Plum Lake

Purpose
The Town of Plum Lake is sponsoring a grant to study 8 Town of Plum Lake Lakes, in Vilas County. Project activities include: 1) Early detection AIS monitoring (twice on each lake); 2) Point-intercept (PI) surveys on 5 lakes; 3) Hire project staff; 4) AIS and PI survey training for hired project staff; 5) Data entry and analysis; 6) Develop final report. Project deliverables include: 1) Hired staff; 2) PI and AIS data and maps; 3) Aquatic plant vouchers; 4) Final report. Specific conditions for this project: Draft of final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of final report, data from PI and AIS surveys, all maps from project, all GIS data, and aquatic plant vouchers.
