CISCO CHAIN RIPARIAN OWNERS ASSOC: Big Lake AIS Monitoring and Control Project

Purpose

Cisco Chain Riparian Owners Association is sponsoring an ACEI grant to fund a project which will focus on surveying, monitoring, mapping, and hand-pulling EWM in Big Lake (Cisco Chain), Vilas County. Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual early-season and mid-late season AIS surveys;2) Control EWM by professional hand-removal and DASH efforts; 3) Develop annual maps and report; 4) Develop end of project report. Project deliverables include: 1) EWM survey data and maps; 2) Annual reports and final report describing the findings of the AIS, hand-pulling efforts, and guidance for continued control actions. Specific conditions for this project: Annual reports and final report need Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and any GIS data.
