GOLDEN LAKE ASSOCIATION, INC: 3 yrs EWM/CLP IPM Control for Golden Lake

Purpose

The Golden Lake Association is sponsoring a project to continue the control curly leaf pondweed, Eurasian water milfoil and hybrid milfoil in Golden Lake. Project activities include: 1) 3 years of DASH harvesting for invasive species in the northern bay, designed as NR 107 sensitive area; 2) Hand removal of invasive species in various bays by snorkeling; 3) Hand removal of invasive species by scuba diving in deeper water; 4) completion of a full lake point intercept plant survey in the late summer of 2020; and 5) completion of aquatic bed maps in the late summers of 2018 and 2019 showing stands of invasive species. Project deliverables include: 1) Annual progress reports detailing the past years\2019 activities and accomplishments; 2) a final report showing maps of managed areas, tables of activities, summaries of the efforts for each species and a description of the successes and shortcomings of the project; 3) results of the 2020 P/I survey incorporated into the final report to include plant distribution maps, tables comparing data from previous years, and tables showing plant survey statistics; 4) electronic copies of GIS maps, harvesting records and the final report. Specific project conditions: A draft copy of the final report will be provided to the WDNR for review before the report is finalized. WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of data and reports/plans generated as a result of this project. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
