CISCO CHAIN RIPARIAN OWNERS ASSOC: West Bay Lake AIS Monitoring & Control Project

Purpose

Cisco Chain Riparian Owners Association is sponsoring an Early Detection and Response project which will focus on surveying, monitoring, mapping, and hand-pulling EWM in West Bay Lake, Vilas County. Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual early-season, mid-late season and post management evaluation AIS surveys; 2) Conduct PI survey; 3) Control EWM by volunteer hand-removal, professional hand-removal and DASH efforts; 4) Develop annual maps and report; 5) Develop end of project report. Project deliverables include: 1) EWM survey data and maps; 2) PI data and vouchers; 3) Annual reports and final report describing the findings of the AIS, hand-pulling efforts, and guidance for continued control actions. Specific conditions for this project: Annual reports and final report need Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of reports, vouchers, all maps, and all aquatic plant and any GIS data.
